Position Details:

We look forward to working with a part time pastor who takes a genuine interest in people and one who develops a harmonious relationship with the congregation. One who will engage others in spiritual growth, facts, and theology directly from the Bible within the Reformed Theology. Our pastor should be able to teach, train, and empower members to achieve goals, while working within their part time schedule. Our pastor, knowing their time limitations, should be self-motivated enough to start and finish a given task, while also being humble enough to know when to ask for help. While our pastor is learning what the congregation is capable of achieving, they should be able to communicate clearly to the congregation spiritual goals and expectations. Specific tasks expected by the pastor include coordinating church operations with staff and volunteers, visits to home centered and hospitalized members, and act as the Session Moderator. As needed, our pastor should perform weddings, funerals, and baptisms and attend committee meetings. Our pastor should be eager to be an active member of our Whitewater Valley Presbytery and become familiar with our local mission partners.
