Position Details:

First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield, IL (suburban Chicago), having recently celebrated 150 years of ministry, has convened an Interim Pastor Nominating Committee (IPNC) to lead the search for an Interim Pastor to transition the ministry of the church at the September 30, 2026 retirement of Rev. Dr. Suzan K. Hawkinson who is completing fifteen years of dedicated service as Senior Pastor.

The Interim Pastor Nominating Committee is working, as guided and supported by the Presbytery of Chicago, to complete the interim pastor role expectations and the terms of call with the goal of calling an Interim Pastor to begin no later than November 1, 2026. The Ministry Discernment Profile (MDP) will be posted on the Church Leadership Connection (CLC) of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in July.
