Position Details:

Responsibilities of the Pastor

Worship and Preaching
• Lead worship services and administer sacraments
• Preach biblically based sermons applicable to today
• Prepare service in cooperation with organist/choir director
Leadership and Administration
• Oversee church operations and staff
• Moderate Session
• Assist church leadership to implement goals
• Teach/assist Bible studies
• Assist in planning church programs and activities
• Participate in Presbytery
• Help grow our membership and attendance
Pastoral Care
• Conduct weddings, funerals, and other services
• Provide guidance and support to members
• Visit members, especially those who can’t attend
• Visit members with emergent health or personal issues
• Shepherd individuals and families
Outreach and Mission
• Represent the church by community involvement
• Participate in local mission activities
